Google Pixel 9a launch timeline: What to expect from this phone?

Google has started working on Google Pixel 9a. Pixel 9a will be an affordable alternative to the flagship Pixel 9 series. Google may launch this phone ahead of time next year. Google usually launches the Pixel a series during the I/O conference in May. However, its entry is expected earlier.

Google launched its Google Pixel 9 series a few days ago. Now the company has reportedly started working on an affordable model. It will be launched as Google Pixel 9a. It will have fewer features, due to which its price will also be reduced. Many details about it have been revealed before the launch.

When will Google Pixel 9a be launched

Pixel 9a will be an affordable alternative to the flagship Pixel 9 series. Google usually launches the Pixel a series during the I/O conference in May, but recent reports suggest that it could be launched early next year. There are reports of Pixel 9a being launched in March 2025. Apart from this, the launch date of Android 16 can also be postponed.

What features will it be equipped with

Some reports have revealed the color options of Pixel 9a. The upcoming phone can enter in Porcelain, Obsidian, Peony and Iris colors. Pixel 9 is already available in Peony color, so it is expected that the same shade will be available in it.

Google Tensor G4 chipset will be available

Pixel 9a is expected to have Google Tensor G4 chipset, which is found in Google’s flagship model. Along with its price being reduced, it is also being said that the company can reduce some things in its build quality. Its build quality will not be so good as compared to Pixel 9 series.

In August, Google launched Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL in its flagship series. Apart from this, Google also launched its first Pixel 9 Pro Fold in India. Tensor G4 chipset has been installed in all these phones for performance.
