Google Pixel 9a vs Pixel 8a: Search engine company Google has launched its new affordable phone Pixel 9a in the global market. This device has been introduced as the successor of Pixel 8a and has got many upgrades. From camera to performance, this phone is better than Pixel 8a. Let’s compare these two devices.
Design and Display
Pixel 9a has a 6.3-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate and OLED display is available. Apart from this, Pixel 8a has a 6.1-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection is available on both of them. Pixel 9a has an IP68 rating and Pixel 8a has an IP67 rating.
Chipset and Performance
For powerful performance, the new Pixel 9a has the company’s in-house Google Tensor G4 processor. At the same time, the previous Pixel 8a was given the Google Tensor G3 chipset. The new phone has the latest Android 15 operating system and the Pixel 8a gets Android 14 out-of-the-box, which can be upgraded to Android 15.
Camera
The Pixel 8a has a dual camera setup with 64MP primary and 13MP ultra-wide sensor on the back panel. Apart from this, the Pixel 9a has a dual camera system with a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 48MP wide angle sensor. The devices have a lot of AI features and camera modes. Both Pixel phones have a 13MP selfie camera setup.
Battery and fast charging
For long backup, Pixel 9a has 23W wired fast charging support in 5100mAh and Pixel 8a has a 4492mAh battery. Both the smartphones have 7.5W wireless charging support.

Pixel 8a can be purchased in the Indian market at a discounted price of Rs 37,999. At the same time, the price of Pixel 9a in India has been kept at Rs 49,999.
