According to Shivam Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway (NCR), the Railway Minister inaugurated the terminal facilities and coaching complex, including the newly constructed second entrance of Gomti Nagar railway station, at an event held at the station in the state capital. Sharma said that he also inaugurated the Gomti Nagar-Kamakhya Express, Mailani-Bichhiya Passenger train and Kanpur Central-Brahmavart MEMU train.
