Senior citizens get the benefit of higher interest
Senior citizens are given the benefit of 0.25% extra interest on investing in HDFC Senior Citizens Care FD plan. At the same time, the premium in this is 0.50 percent, which is available to senior citizens on FD accounts. Because of which investors in Sanier Citizens Care FD plan get the benefit of 0.75% more interest on FD than other customers.

According to the HDFC Bank website, after investing their money in this scheme, senior citizens get the benefit of an extra premium of 0.25 per cent. This benefit will be given to those people who want to get FD less than Rs 5 crore. At the same time, the tenure of FD can be from one year to 10 years. HDFC Senior Citizens Care FD plan offers an interest rate of 7.75 per cent for tenures between 5 years and 10 years. At the same time, the interest rate ranges from 3.35 percent to 7.75 percent between the period of 7 days to 10 years. Apart from this, HDFC Bank has extended its special fixed scheme VCare Senior Citizens Deposit for senior citizens till 30 September 2023. On the other hand, ICICI Bank customers of its Senior Citizens category can now invest in Senior Citizens Golden Years FD anytime. Its deadline itself has been scrapped.
