While presenting the budget, CM made many big changes. Many changes were made in these ranging from age and money to old age pension.
Millions of elderly will get benefit
In Himachal Pradesh, it was announced to increase the monthly old age pension from Rs 1,001 to Rs 1,500. Presenting the fifth and final budget of the government, Thakur announced to reduce the age limit for availing old age pension from 70 years to 60 years. After this change, lakhs of elderly people will benefit.
MLA fund also increased
The Chief Minister also holds the charge of the Finance Ministry of the state. He announced to increase the MLA Area Development Fund from the present Rs 1.80 crore to Rs 2 crore.
20 lakh has been increased in this. This is the last budget of this government before the assembly elections are to be held in the state in December.
Discretionary grants also increased
Thakur said that during his government, Rs 90 lakh has been increased in the MLA Area Development Fund. He also announced to increase the discretionary grant of MLAs from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh for the next financial year.
The Chief Minister said that 1000 new Anganwadi buildings would be constructed in the state and 500 new posts of doctors would be created.
