The Election Commission has announced a new app through its official X handle. They have also announced three other apps that provide information about elections. One of these apps, CVIGIL, allows people to directly complain to the Election Commission about any irregularities or violations in elections. The other two apps are specifically for candidates contesting elections.

What is CVIGIL App?
Through this app, users can directly complain to the Election Commission about any irregularities or violation of rules in the elections. The Election Commission says that action will be taken within 100 minutes of filing the complaint. Users can also upload photos or videos as evidence while complaining. Apart from this, KYC and Suvidha portals are available for candidates contesting elections. Candidates can file their affidavits through the KYC app, while permission for election campaigns and rallies can be obtained through the Suvidha portal.
