HRA hike fixed

Dearness Allowance was recently increased to 42% by the Central Government. At the same time, preparations are also being made to increase other allowances. A jump can also be seen in other allowances received by the central employee after this increase. Explain that the dearness allowance is revised every 6 months. At the same time, the government can announce regarding HRA for the employees.

An increase will also be seen in the house rent allowance of the employees by the end of the year 2023 or by January 2024. Earlier notification has been issued by the government. The month of July will once again see an increase in dearness allowance. The same as soon as DA reaches 50 percent. After that, a huge increase will also be seen in the House Rent Allowance.

There was an increase in 2021

Earlier in the year 2021, despite the increase in the dearness allowance of July, the dearness allowance had increased to more than 25 percent. After which the House Rent Allowance was revised. Dearness allowance was increased to 28 percent in 2021 by the government. In such a situation, the existing rate of HRA has been fixed at 27%, 18% and 9%.

There will be an increase in the allowance

At the same time, dearness allowance will be revised once again in the month of July and with the increase in dearness allowance in January 2024, a big increase in house rent allowance will be seen. With Dearness Allowance exceeding 50%, the maximum rate of House Rent Allowance will be increased from the existing 27% to 30% while 18% will be increased to 20% and 9% will be increased to 10%. With which a big increase will be seen in the salary of the employees.

Set three categories

The same category of House Rent Allowance has been prescribed in 3rd category. X Y and Z classes have been decided according to the cities. Central employees living in the X category are currently getting the benefit of 27% HRA, which will increase to 30% if there is 50% dearness allowance. At the same time, 18% HRA is being paid to Y category employees while HRA of Z category employees has been kept at 9%.

HRA has to be revised

A memorandum was issued in 2015. In which it was said that the House Rent Allowance is revised from time to time along with the dearness allowance. HRA has to be revised once again after the rate of dearness allowance reaches more than 50%. With the increase in HRA, the salary of central employees can increase by Rs 33 to 35 thousand.
