South Korean automaker Hyundai has offered CNG in the base variant E of the compact sedan car Hyundai Aura on September 3. After which its base variant will compete directly with the base variants of Maruti Dzire and Tata Tigor CNG. Which of these vehicles’ CNG base variant will be better to buy. These are the options of CNG in compact sedans
Maruti, Hyundai and Tata make Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor available for sale in the compact sedan segment with factory fitted CNG. Another car of this segment Honda Amaze also offers CNG but it is not brought with factory fitted CNG.

Whose engine is more powerful
Maruti provides a 1.2 liter engine in Dzire CNG which gives it a power of 77.4 PS and a torque of 98.5 Newton meter. With this, Dzire can be run for 31.12 kilometers in one kilogram of CNG. Hyundai Aura’s base CNG variant E has a 1.2 liter engine which gives it a power of 69 PS and a torque of 95.2 Newton meter. Due to which it can be driven up to 28.4 km in one kg of CNG. Tata Tigor CNG comes with 73.4 PS of power and 95 Newton meter of torque.
How are the features
The VXI variant of Maruti Dzire CNG has features like dual tone interior, music system with four speakers, rear AC vent, remote key-less entry, manual AC, gear shift indicator, power window, dual airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, reverse parking sensor, ISOFIX child anchorage, speed alert. The E variant of Hyundai Aura CNG also has features like 3.5 inch speedometer, Z shape LED headlamp, front power window, driver seat height adjustment, adjustable rear seat headrest, Z shape LED headlamp, six airbags, three point seatbelt, seatbelt reminder. Tata Tigor CNG’s base variant XM has features like three dimensional headlamp, LED taillamp, 6.35 cm fully digital instrument cluster, manual AC, central lock, power window, steering mounted controls, 8.89 cm infotainment system with four speakers, front dual airbags, ABS, EBD.
What is the price of CNG base variant
Maruti’s Dzire VXI variant is available with CNG at the lowest price. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 8.44 lakh. Hyundai has brought Aura’s E variant with CNG at the lowest price, whose ex-showroom price is Rs 7.49 lakh. Tata’s Tigor’s XM variant is available with CNG at the lowest price. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 7.75 lakh.
