The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD Update Today) has estimated that for the next 2 to 3 days, dense fog can be seen at many places in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and mist can be seen in many states including Bihar. Fluctuation in temperature with fog is likely over Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan, West Bengal, Assam and Tripura. Cold wave conditions may persist in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Whereas Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh will witness dense fog for the next two-three days.

Chance of light to moderate rain

According to IMD’s weather forecast, there will be a drop in day and night temperatures in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the coming days, due to which the cold will increase further. There is a possibility of more cold in the western part of Madhya Pradesh for the next two days. There may also be light drizzle in some areas of MP and UP on January 5-6, the effect of Mawthe may also be seen. Light to moderate rain is predicted in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu from January 3 to 5. Snowfall continues in the mountains

According to the IMD, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain with snowfall over the mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next few days. According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, cold wave conditions are expected in different parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, North Rajasthan. Severe cold wave conditions during January 3 over northern parts of Rajasthan, cold wave conditions at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during January 4 and cold wave conditions over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. Know when it will rain in which state

The weather will be clear in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh. In the same northwest India, there is no chance of rain in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. But on January 5 and 6, light rain can be seen at some places in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar and Jharkhand. Apart from this, in the northeastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and at some places in South India Light rain is also expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry. There is less chance of rain in Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh or Andaman-Nicobar.
