IMD Weather Alert: Under the influence of the weather system, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Karaikal till 21 November and in Andhra Pradesh till 22 November. Alerts have been issued for strong winds with high waves in the sea.
The phase of change in the weather continues. Changes in weather are being seen in the mountains as well as in North and Central India. Due to the influence of the weather system, rain conditions have been created in many states continuously. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in 9 states. A thunderstorm warning has been issued. Along with this, the period of fall in temperature will continue in agriculture belt and North India.
Change in weather in Delhi
A drop in the minimum temperature has been recorded in Delhi. People are starting to feel the cold. Cold wind continues to wreak havoc in Delhi NCR. The mercury reached below 10 degrees. A decrease in temperature has been observed on Friday. The minimum temperature in the capital has been recorded at 9.6 degree Celsius. In 2021, on November 24, the temperature was recorded at 9.2 degrees. Due to strong winds, a drop in temperature is being seen.
Jharkhand’s temperature continues to fall
A drop in the temperature of Jharkhand is also being recorded. In Jharkhand where strong sunlight is being seen during the day. By night the temperature is dropping rapidly. The strong wind continues during the day as well. The sky is cloudy. The minimum temperature is 11 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature is being recorded at 24 degree Celsius.
Weather change in Bihar
The highest temperature is being recorded below normal in 28 districts of Bihar. There is a possibility of cold day in Bihar till the end of November. Along with increasing cold in Bihar, an alert has been issued for rain in many districts. The effect of Western Disturbance will be seen in Bhagalpur and surrounding districts.
Weather System Active
- A cyclonic circulation over south Andaman Sea & neighborhood is very likely to move west-northwestwards and gradually concentrate into a depression over central parts of south Bay of Bengal around November 19.
- It is very likely to move west-northwestwards towards north Tamil Nadu along
- Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coasts during 3 days.
- Under its influence, widespread rainfall occurred at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands after 20 November.
- Meanwhile, a Western Disturbance is likely to bring light to moderate rain/snow over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan and Muzaffarabad on November 18-19 and
- Himachal Pradesh on November 19.
- By the end, the minimum temperatures over West Himalayas, Himalayas and entire Northeast will be at least above normal for November.
- Winter will increase in Rajasthan
- Winter is also slowly gaining momentum in Rajasthan. The night temperature has reached 10 degree Celsius. There is a possibility of further fall in the minimum temperature. However, the weather will remain dry in Rajasthan this coming week and the minimum temperature will continue to fall.
Heavy rain in 7 southern states in next 24 hours
Heavy rain alert has been issued in the southern states. In the last 24 hours, where rain was seen in many parts including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In the next 24 hours, a rain alert has been issued in some parts of Maharashtra including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar, during which the possibility of heavy rain has been expressed.
Snowfall forecast in the mountains
The Meteorological Department is seeing snowfall along with rain in many areas of Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The minimum temperature can reach 12 degree Celsius. In Madhya Pradesh, the minimum temperature has been recorded at 12 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature at 27 degrees Celsius.
