Orange Yellow Alert has been issued warning of heavy rains in 12 states while rain is going to continue in Uttar Pradesh including New Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. People can get relief from rain in West Bengal, Orissa including Bihar, Jharkhand.

Alerts in these areas

Talking about the eastern states, rain warnings have been issued in the states of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram etc. Heavy rains will be seen in these areas while rains are going to continue wreaking havoc in South India as well. People have been advised to be vigilant while issuing rain warnings in Kerala, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and other areas. At the same time, an alert has been issued regarding landslides in the hilly states.

Due to heavy rains in the capital Delhi, the water level of Yamuna increased. There is chaos in the same mountain due to frequent incidents of landslides and cloudbursts. Along with this, the situation has worsened due to continuous rains in the plains. Torrential rains are being seen in almost all parts of the country. Due to which life has become abnormal.

Orange alert issued for heavy rain

According to the Meteorological Department, an orange alert has been issued for heavy rains in the north Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, while a warning of heavy rains has been issued in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. While issuing orange alert for heavy rain in many areas of these states, warning of thunder and lightning has also been issued.

Heavy rain warning in 5 southern states

Yellow alert has been issued warning of heavy rain in 5 southern states. At the same time, a warning has also been issued for strong wind. In the next 48 hours, heavy rain can be seen in many areas of South India. Forecast of heavy rain has been issued in many states for 5 days. States where heavy rain alert has been issued for 5 days. Apart from Maharashtra, they include Goa, Konkan, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra and Orissa. A red orange alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall in these areas. Strong winds were also predicted. In many areas, the problem of thunderclap and lightning can also be seen.

Landslide and torrential rain warnings

Apart from this, warnings of landslides and torrential rain including lightning have also been issued in states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, East Rajasthan, West Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andaman, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Assam.

Talking about the hilly states, heavy rains have been predicted in Himachal, Uttarakhand. The possibility of very heavy rains has been expressed in central India. At the same time, in Uttarakhand also, there is a forecast of unfavorable weather for the next 3 days. From July 18 to July 25, a warning has been issued for extremely heavy rains in Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad of Jammu and Kashmir. On the other hand, till July 22, forecast of heavy rain has been expressed in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand. Avalanche conditions can be created in many places.

Alert issued in eastern states

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of thunderstorm with heavy rain at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Assam and Tripura till July 23. Along with the drop in temperature, rain has been forecast in these areas.

Weather will change in southern state

According to the Meteorological Department, till July 25, a warning of lightning has been issued in Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh. Along with this, forecast of moderate rain has been expressed in some areas. Torrential rain warning has been issued in Maharashtra for the next 5 days. However, people in Marathwada will get relief from heavy rains. On the other hand, the possibility of rain has been ruled out in Marathwada.

Rain forecast in Uttar Pradesh

Rain warning has been issued in 45 districts of Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, humidity will also be seen in many places. Till July 22, forecast of light to moderate and heavy rain has been expressed in many areas of Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon is weakening. However, till July 22, the monsoon is going to be active in many areas. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no major change in the maximum temperature in the state in the next 48 hours. An increase of two to four Celsius can be seen in the temperature.

Humid heat is being felt in many areas of Uttar Pradesh. The humidity level has reached 89%. Whereas due to lack of rain, more age is being seen. An alert has been issued for rain and lightning in 45 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Due to no rain since 48 hours, people are getting upset due to the humid heat. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in the next 72 hours. Along with this, many big rivers including Ganga Yamuna are in spate.

Monsoon slows down in Bihar

Monsoon has once again become sluggish in Bihar. This week there will be a decrease in rain related activities in the state. A forecast of rain has been issued at some places till July 23. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon trough is moving south. Because of which changes are being seen in the weather. On Monday, Monsoon Dronika is moving towards Bay of Bengal via Bikaner Sikar, Orai, Siddhi, Ambikapur, Balasore. Due to which there will be a decrease in rain activity in Bihar.

As of July 17, the state has recorded 34% less rainfall than normal. At the same time, 237.2 mm of rain has been seen as against 361.6 mm of rain during this period. Whereas Sitamarhi, Shivhar, East Champaran, Begusarai, West Champaran, Saharsa, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Khagaria, Munger, Nalanda and Patna have recorded heavy rainfall deficiency.

Weather system

  • Monsoon line is passing through Chandivali via Ganganagar Churu Alwar Gwalior Satna Ambikapur. Along with this, it is reaching east central Bay of Bengal towards southeast.
  • A Cyclonic Circulation is extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level over South Jharkhand and neighborhood.
  • Western Disturbance is formed over Kashmir.
  • A cyclonic circulation may be active over northwest Bay of Bengal.
