This system is likely to cause strong winds over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 10-11th May. There could be very heavy rainfall with gusts up to 90 kmph.

Effect of Cyclone Mocha

The low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal has turned into a depression. There is a possibility of very deep depression this morning. Wind speed reaching 55 kmph in the center of the depression central system lying 500 km west south west of Port Blair, 9 degree and 89 degree east. The weather system will move northwestwards with a speed of about 15 kmph. The potential for rapid development into a cyclone is high. The system is likely to dissipate into Storm Moka anytime this evening. It is expected to intensify further.

The cyclone has maintained distance from the Indian coastline. The cloud cover will reach Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal coasts from tomorrow and after reaching the interior will remain till May 15. This wind can blow.
