Heavy rain has been warned in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Odisha. Cold wave alert has been issued in North India. Two cyclonic systems have been active.

IMD Alert: Continuous changes are being seen in the weather. With the end of November and the beginning of December, rapid weather changes will be seen. There has been a drastic drop in temperature. Kappi has increased in the northern states of India. If the IMD forecast is to be believed, there will be further drop in the temperature over North India while rain activity will continue over the South. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain in 8 states today. Also two cyclonic systems are active.

Delhi: Cold wave till second week of December
According to the forecast by the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi will reach 8 degree Celsius on November 27. The speed of freezing will increase rapidly. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 27 degree Celsius, along with the rise of cold, pollution is also being seen big. The weather is full of fog. The air quality has deteriorated significantly in the index. There is a possibility of heavy snowfall and rain in the mountains. By the second week of December, an outbreak of cold wave will be seen in New Delhi.

UP : Knock of fog
Huge changes are being seen in the weather of Uttar Pradesh. The minimum temperature in Lucknow has reached 12 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature remains at 27 degree Celsius. Fog is being seen in the morning and evening. The temperature in Ghaziabad has been recorded at 12 degree Celsius. Fog and mist have caused rapid changes in the weather in many areas of Uttar Pradesh.

Bihar: Westerly wind effect in 18 districts
In Bihar, 18 districts in the morning recorded a rise in temperature due to the westerly wind. The cold will continue for the next 5 days. Fog has started wreaking havoc in the rural areas. Along with the burning of bonfires, warm clothes also started appearing. The minimum temperature in Samastipur has been recorded at 13 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature in Bhagalpur has reached 14 degree Celsius. Bhagalpur and Muzaffarpur have been recorded in the category of minimum temperature.

Jharkhand: Effect of cold wave
Due to the cold wind coming from the north in Jharkhand, the temperature is falling. Simdega district recorded a minimum temperature of 7.5 degree Celsius. A drop in temperature is also being seen in Daltonganj. There is a possibility of a big change in the night temperature for the next 5 days. The sky remains clear after morning fog and mist. The effect of cold wave will be seen in Palamu, Latehar, Garhwa, Chatra, Lohardaga. Cold wave alert has been issued. The highest temperature has been recorded in Chaibasa.

Mercury dropped in Rajasthan
Due to winter in Mount Abu, the hill station called Kashmir of Rajasthan, the temperature has reached 1 degree Celsius. Rajasthan has recorded a drop of 4 degrees in the minimum temperature in the last 5 days. In this, mercury can be seen in minus in the coming one or two days. Due to winter, there is fog in the mountain tourist destination Mount Abu.

There are few days left in the month of November. It hasn’t rained even once in the month of November. In the year 2018, the city received 5.3 mm of rainfall. Whereas in 2018, 15.2 mm of rain was seen. Necessary drop in temperature is being recorded due to snowfall and cold wave in the mountains. The minimum temperature recorded is 9.4 degree Celsius.

  • A cyclonic circulation over South Arabian Sea off Kerala coast will slowly track westwards
    Apart from this, another fresh cyclonic circulation has formed over North Andaman Sea.
  • Under the collective influence of these two active weather systems, fairly widespread rain and thundershowers are expected over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands through Sunday.
  • Also, scattered rain and thundershowers are likely over South Peninsular India.
    Dense morning fog is very likely over isolated places over Northeast and South India for the next few days.

  • Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in East Rajasthan.
  • The air quality is likely to be very poor over northern and central India, poor over eastern and southern India
  • Isolated rain with chances of lightning very likely over Konkan & Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, North Interior Karnataka.
  • Weather is expected to remain dry in other areas.
