IMD Alert, Today Weather Update: An alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department regarding the cold in some states. Actually once again the cold can come back. The effect of cold continues in Punjab. In Rajasthan too, along with the drop in temperature, strong cold winds are blowing.

The effect of Western Disturbance is being seen in these states while the weather has cooled down due to snowfall in the hilly states. In many districts, the temperature has reached below. Due to the cold wind blowing in Rajasthan once again, there was a huge drop in the temperature. Fog alert has been issued in these areas for 48 hours only due to strong wind blowing in these areas.

The cold has bid farewell to Delhi. The minimum temperature has been recorded at 9.8 degree Celsius. Forecast of rain and snowfall has been issued in Himachal, Uttarakhand including Leh Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir.

Change in weather patterns in Rajasthan

The weather pattern has changed in Rajasthan, according to the alert of the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance will be active. After which a drop of three to five percent in temperature is possible. There will be a change in the weather till February 15, however after that the temperature will increase. An increase in temperature from 3 to 5 degrees will be recorded during 48 hours.

Although cold winds will blow for two days, due to change in the weather, cold and vibration will increase in the morning and evening. The weather has been predicted to remain dry for 24 hours. After February 18, there will be relief due to slight change in the weather.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, after the passing of the western disturbance, the wind direction has changed from south-west to north-west. In such a situation, a drop in temperature is being recorded in entire Rajasthan including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi West Uttar Pradesh and western part of Madhya Pradesh.

Snowfall intensifies in the hill state

Snowfall has started in the hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh. Snowfall is continuously being seen in the regions due to active Western Disturbance, forecast of rain and snowfall has been expressed in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Leh Ladakh in these areas. Rain and snowfall have been forecast in these areas till February 14.

Weather system

  • A weak Western Disturbance is likely to approach West Himalayas from 14th February. After which once again there will be a change in the weather of many states till February 18, a warning of snowfall has been issued.
  • Along with this, there will be a fall in the temperature in the areas, fog can also be seen while rain forecast has been issued in 12 states.

Weather Movement during last 24 hours

  • A drop in minimum temperature has been recorded in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan. Fog is also being seen in these areas.
  • Rain and snowfall have also been seen in Jammu Kashmir, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh.
  • Light rain and snowfall have also been seen in Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh. Rain continues in Assam as well.

Weather during next 24 hours

  • Between February 15, wind speed of 30 kmph is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP, Bihar, MP and Rajasthan.
  • Arunachal Pradesh will see moderate rain and snowfall.
  • Moderate rain has been recorded in East Assam while forecast of rain and snowfall has been issued in Sikkim and Assam.
  • Another fresh Western Disturbance will reach West Himalayas from the night of 16th February. Due to which between 17 to 19 February, rains with moderate snowfall can be seen in the Western Himalayas.

  • Snowfall and rain have been predicted in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand during the last 24 hours. Rain forecast was also expressed in Uttarakhand, Sikkim.
  • Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Haryana, Assam also expressed the possibility of rain today, while snowfall will be seen in Manali and Kalpa.
  • Some drizzle is also expected in Punjab and Ladakh, while morning fog may occur in West Bengal, Punjab and Sikkim for a few hours.

Snowfall in Himachal

On Saturday, the weather will be mixed in most parts including the capital Shimla. Light sunshine will remain. Along with this, snowfall has also been recorded in Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu, Champa, Kangra, Shimla, Mandi including Solan, Dharamshala and Shimla Dalhousie.
