Rain warning has been issued in seven states including Maharashtra. Cold wave warning has been issued in Delhi. Dense fog alert has been issued in Punjab and Haryana. Along with this, cold wave conditions have developed in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Rain forecast has been expressed in some areas of Madhya Pradesh including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh today.

IMD Alert, Today Weather Update: The minimum temperature in the capital Delhi has reached 1 degree Celsius. A forecast of severe cold has been issued in North India. Along with this, people have been advised to avoid the bone-chilling cold. During the last 24 hours, light rain at a few places with heavy to very heavy falls at one or two places over Kerala and Karnataka including parts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha . Along with this , the cold has increased due to moderate rains in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands . Heavy rains have been issued today along with light rain in 12 parts of Chhattisgarh, South East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Telangana .

The same temperature has reached near zero in Uttarakhand Himachal along with Rajasthan . Cold wave warning has been issued along with the cold wave. Cold wave to severe cold wave warning has been issued in Rajasthan, Southwest Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, the condition of cold day has been expressed in Madhya Pradesh Rajasthan Bihar including Haryana Punjab .

Thick fog warning
Dense fog will remain in many parts of Delhi Haryana Punjab including North West Rajasthan . Its warning has been issued. Issuing a red alert , a forecast of dense fog has been issued in Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal, Sikkim .

Weather will change in next 24 hours

  • In many areas, a possible change in the weather has been expected in the next 24 hours. During the next 24 hours, rain would be seen over parts of North Andhra Pradesh , Southeast Madhya Pradesh , Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Vidarbha and Rajasthan .

Weather will change in Delhi

Along with severe cold in North India, fog is being seen in many areas. A steady drop in temperature is being seen. Cold wave warning has been issued in many areas. The havoc of Sheetlahar will be seen on January 5. The cold wave situation has become alarming in many states. In many areas of Delhi, the minimum temperature was very low. Dalhousie recorded a minimum temperature of 4.9 degree Celsius , Dharamsala recorded a minimum temperature of 5.2 degree Celsius, Shimla recorded a minimum temperature of 3 degree Celsius, Dehradun recorded a minimum temperature of 4 degree Celsius and Nainital recorded a minimum temperature of 6 degree Celsius.

Severe winter forecast in Rajasthan

A forecast of severe winter was given in Rajasthan. The minimum temperature in Churu and Sikar has dropped below 0 degree Celsius. The torture of winter will continue till this week. Sikar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.8 degrees Celsius while Churu recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Five cities Sikar Churu Fatehpur Mount Abu, Jaipur recorded minimum temperature in minus. On the other hand, the condition of snow accumulation continued on the third day. Shimla recorded a minimum temperature of minus 4 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature recorded in Mount Abu is -6 degree Celsius.

Red alert issued in UP

Fog alert is being seen in Uttar Pradesh with cold and cold wave. Due to dense fog, visibility has reduced considerably. People have been advised to be alert in visibility up to 50 meters. Alwar has been issued to drive cautiously. At the same time, its direct impact is also being seen on the rail traffic.
