IMD Alert, Today Weather Update: Heavy rain warning has been issued in Bihar today. The weather patterns have changed in Delhi as well. The rainy season is going to start in Delhi from today. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Pauri Garhwal including Chamoli Champawat this whole week. Apart from this, orange alert has also been issued in Nainital regarding the warning of heavy rains. People have been instructed to be alert. Some people have been shifted to safer places.

Waiting for rain in Rajasthan Gujarat

For the time being, people will have to wait for the rains in Rajasthan and Gujarat. There will be a break in rain activity throughout this week due to weak Monsoon conditions, rain conditions will reduce over these regions.

Rain activity continues in Haryana Punjab

Rain activity is going to continue in Haryana Punjab. Light rain may be seen in some areas whereas in other areas, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning will make the weather pleasant.

Weather system

  • A Cyclonic Circulation is presently centered over Northeast Uttar Pradesh and Northwest Vihar & neighborhood. Due to its passage between the lower levels of the troposphere, a western disturbance is being created within the winds.
  • The monsoon trough has shifted northwards and deviated from its normal position. Rain activity has built up over its northern and northeast parts while it will continue over the southern region.
  • Scattered to very widespread rainfall warning has been issued for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar Himalayas, West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand from August 11 to 15.
  • Heavy rain warning has been issued in Meghalaya Nagar and Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura from 13th August, whereas on 12th and 13th August heavy rain has been predicted in West Bengal Jharkhand including Punjab and Haryana.
  • The southern states may receive scanty rainfall. Due to the influence of onshore winds, on and off rain activity is going to continue over Konkan.
