IMD Alert: Monsoon has arrived in almost all parts of the country, bringing respite to the people from the scorching weather. The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) has said that the heatwave from across the country is about to end now.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains during the next five days in different parts of the country. The IMD has also said that heatwave conditions over East India and adjoining areas of Central India are likely to subside from June 24.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains during the next five days in different parts of the country. The IMD has also said that the heatwave conditions over East India and adjoining areas of Central India are likely to subside from June 24. The Meteorological Department in its daily weather forecast has predicted heavy rains in different parts of the country from June 23 to June 27.

Heavy rain is likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh from June 23, Coastal Karnataka from June 23 to June 26 and Interior Karnataka on June 25 and 26. According to IMD, Rajasthan is likely to receive heavy rain at isolated places from June 26. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Haryana and Punjab from June 25 to June 27.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of scattered rain and lightning over central India during the next 5 days. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh from June 23 to June 27. The Meteorological Department in its weather bulletin has announced that the heat wave will subside from all over India on June 23. “Heat wave has subsided from the entire country,” the IMD said.

The IMD has said that moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to continue over the western Himalayan region along with Northeast India, Central India, west coast and islands from June 28 to 30. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning very likely at most places during next 5 days. Very heavy rain has been predicted over Assam, Bihar, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours.

Moderate rain and thundershowers with lightning will occur over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh during June 23 to 25 and over plains of northwest India from June 25. Whereas, very heavy rain has been predicted over Uttarakhand during June 23 to 27, Himachal Pradesh during June 24 to 27 and Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh during June 25 to 27. Very heavy rainfall is expected over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during June 23 to 27 and Vidarbha during June 24 to 27.
