IMD Alert Today 2022: From the new year, once again there will be a change in the weather in different states of the country. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, icy winds will wreak havoc in many states in the next 3 days. Dense to dense fog is expected in the next 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan, this situation may last for the next 4 days. By the new year, rains may stop in most parts of South India as well as Northeast India. . At the same time, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the areas of South including Tamil Nadu till January 1.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light snowfall in the higher reaches of Jammu-Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, snowfall on the mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next few days. Rain is likely to continue with snowfall. In the new year, mercury can fall rapidly in many states including Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with snowfall in the mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next few days. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Scattered rain may occur over Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim. There is a possibility of light rain in Punjab, Haryana due to Western Disturbance.
Chances of snowfall with cold wave
According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, there may be snowfall in the higher reaches of Jammu-Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh even today. Cold wave warning has been issued in many areas of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Apart from this, dense fog may remain in Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Dense fog is very likely to continue in isolated areas during 3-4 days.
The effect of western disturbance will be seen
According to IMD, a currently active Western Disturbance is showing signs of weather change again. There are chances of snowfall on the mountains in the last days of the year. There may be snowfall in the upper reaches of the Himalayas on December 29 and 30. Due to the Western Disturbance, there will be a possibility of rain in Punjab and an increase in the maximum and minimum temperatures of the plains. As soon as it leaves, many states are also expected to experience shivering cold from January.
