IMD Alert, Today Weather Update: Today, warnings of torrential rain were issued in 14 states. The weather has remained pleasant in Delhi NCR due to rain in the morning. People have got respite from the humid heat, whereas in Uttar Pradesh, many areas including Lucknow are witnessing light rains. Heavy rains have been recorded in 10 districts including Ranchi Gumla of Jharkhand. At the same time, the weather pattern has changed in Delhi Noida as well. The sky is cloudy. Chance of rain in Delhi NCR area today

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in the area of Delhi NCR today. Light rain warning has been issued in the capital Delhi for the next three days. On the other hand, forecast of heavy rain has been expressed in 17 to 20 districts of the capital Lucknow, while warnings of thunder and moderate rain have been issued in 30 districts. According to the Meteorological Department, the rain activity in these districts is going to continue for 7 days at present. Changes are being seen in the weather due to the moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal, including the local system being active.

Effect of monsoon in Uttar Pradesh

At the same time, along with the Western Disturbance, the effect of monsoon is being seen in Uttar Pradesh. This activity will continue for next 5-6 days. A Yellow Orange alert has been issued forecasting heavy rains in Bahraich, Lakhimpur, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Muzaffarnagar, Kasganj, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Amroha, Bareilly, Pilibhit in the next 48 hours.

Heavy rains in four divisions of Madhya Pradesh
Heavy rain has been predicted in four divisions of Madhya Pradesh. In Shimla, heavy rain has been forecast at most places in Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, Una during the next 72 hours. Instructions have also been given to keep the schools closed till August 24. A red orange red alert has been issued for heavy rains in Tripura including Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram.
