While issuing the forecast, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of heavy rain for the coastal areas of Gujarat and Maharashtra.
IMD Weather Update Today 25 November 2023: Most of the states of the country are in the grip of cold and rain, at some places people are seen protecting themselves from the severe cold and at some places people are protecting themselves from the rain, but there does not seem to be any relief from this yet.

Apart from Maharashtra and Gujarat, IMD has predicted rain in Madhya Pradesh, South Rajasthan, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Apart from this, meteorologists have also predicted lightening and thundershowers in many states.
A low pressure area likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal
The Meteorological Department has said that a cyclonic circulation is seen emerging over the South Andaman Sea and its surrounding areas on Sunday. The emergence of this area will lead to a low pressure over the Southeast Bay of Bengal around November 27. There is a possibility of formation of an area of .., in view of the change in weather, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the South Andaman Sea for the next two days.
