All India Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has declared a red alert for very heavy rain in three states of Uttarakhand-Sikkim. People living on the banks of the river in these states have been appealed to move away.
All India Weather Forecast: The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy to very heavy rain in Uttarakhand today. Very heavy rain conditions have prevailed in Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Pauri of the state. The Meteorological Department estimates that there is no possibility of continuous drizzle in the state, but there is a possibility of sudden heavy rain and cloudburst. The department has appealed to the people to be alert till August 15 and stay away from rivers and drains.
Heavy rain alert in Nainital
Meteorological director Vikram Singh said that today a red alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rain in Nainital district (All India Weather Forecast). There is a flood-like situation in Haldwani due to late night rains on Wednesday. There, many houses have been destroyed and many houses are standing on the verge of collapse. The Kalsia and Raksia drains of the city have caused havoc. About 150 people living on the banks of Kalsia drain have been shifted to a safer place. The river drains are still in spate. DM Nainital Vandana took stock of all the disaster affected areas in Haldwani and issued necessary guidelines to the officials. During this, she also met the disaster-affected families and assured them of all possible help. Instructions have been given to survey how many houses are in dilapidated condition on the banks of river drains.
Rain will create havoc in these 3 states
According to the bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall (All India Weather Forecast) in Uttarakhand, Bihar, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh during the next 5 days, while during the next one week the country’s There is a possibility of light rain in the remaining parts. There are chances of heavy to very heavy rains at different places in Uttarakhand from August 9 to August 13. Scattered light to moderate rain may occur over Northwest India.
The weather agency predicted that there is a possibility of heavy rains at different places in western and eastern Uttar Pradesh this Sunday. However, rain activity is expected to remain low over the rest of northwest India for the next seven days. Whereas in East India, light to moderate rains may occur.

According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall (All India Weather Forecast) at different places in Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from Wednesday to Sunday. Heavy rain is expected at isolated places in Jharkhand and Sikkim on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Whereas in Bihar today there may be extremely heavy rains at different places.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next five days, IMD said. Rain activity is expected to remain low in Central, West and South India for the next seven days.
