Yellow alert issued in Delhi
A yellow alert has been issued by the IMD for rain in the country’s capital Delhi today i.e. on 27 July. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department says that it is expected to rain intermittently for the next 5 to 6 days. Due to the rain, the weather will be pleasant and the people of Delhi will get relief from the scorching heat.
Orange alert issued in Himachal Pradesh
At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain in nine districts of Himachal Pradesh. According to reports, forecast of moderate to heavy rain has been expressed in total 9 districts of the state. The 9 districts in which orange alert has been issued for rain include districts of economic and tourism importance like Solan, Mandi and Shimla.
Red alert issued in Mumbai
A red alert has been issued by the Indian Meteorological Department regarding rain in many districts of Maharashtra. At the same time, it is raining in almost the entire state including Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai, Thane and Raigarh. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain in Mumbai and Thane, while an orange alert has been issued in Ratnagiri district for today. At the same time, alert of moderate rain has been issued in Thane, Palghar and Raigad.
Increased water level of rivers
Due to continuous heavy rains in many areas of the country, the river drains are in spate. The Yamuna river in the capital Delhi has been flowing above the danger mark for several consecutive days. The water level of Hindon river has increased a lot in Ghaziabad. At the same time, the river Ganga is also in spate in UP. Instead of all this, due to torrential rains in many states of the country, all the rivers and drains are in spate.
