All India Rain Forecast: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in Himachal, Uttarakhand and UP. During this, there will be heavy rains in all the three states.

All India Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted very heavy rainfall in Northeast India and Sikkim during the next 5 days. While there is a possibility of scattered heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, there is a forecast of heavy rains in East Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in the next two-three days. The weather agency said in its bulletin that light to moderate rain with thunderstorm and lightning will occur in northwest India.

Rain with storm in Central India

According to the update released by IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rains (All India Rain Forecast) in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and UP from Tuesday to Friday. Whereas from Monday to Tuesday, there may be heavy rains at different places in East Rajasthan and on Tuesday in North Haryana-Chandigarh. The IMD has also predicted that there are chances of light to widespread rain with thunderstorm and lightning over central India.

Alert issued in Himachal Pradesh

Director of Himachal Pradesh Meteorological Center Surendra Pal said that there is a possibility of heavy rains in the state once again on 23 and 24 August. In such a situation, heavy rains can be recorded in 8 districts of the state, Sirmaur, Shimla, Solan, Hamirpur, Kangra, Chamba, Bilaspur and Mandi. Orange Alert (ORANGE AND YELLOW ALERT FOR HIMACHAL) has also been issued in all these districts. At the same time, some districts of the state have been kept on yellow alert. Surendra Pal told that there is a possibility of flash flood, cloudburst and landslide in the state during this period. Therefore, an advisory has been issued by the Meteorological Center for the people.

Warning issued in Uttarakhand (ORANGE ALERT FOR UTTARAKHAND)

In Uttarakhand too, people may have to face heavy rains for the next two to three days. Meteorological Center Dehradun has informed that there may be heavy rains in the state from 21 to 24 August. Heavy to very heavy rain has been warned in the state on 23 and 24 August. Dr. Vikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center Dehradun, has told that warnings have been given in Orange Alert for Uttarakhand, but if the impact of rain is more visible, then it can be kept in this Red Alert as well.

He told that on August 23 and 24, an alert of heavy rain has been kept in Nainital, Dehradun, Pauri, Bageshwar, Champawat, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Rudraprayag Uttarkashi Chamoli in the state. The director of the Meteorological Department has said that people should avoid traveling on the mountain during heavy rains.

Chances of rain in these states as well

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in western Madhya Pradesh till Wednesday and in eastern Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday (All India Rain Forecast). Moderate to widespread rain with thunderstorms and lightning will fall in the east. Heavy rain is likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next five days, Gangetic West Bengal on Thursday and Friday, Odisha and Jharkhand from Wednesday to Friday and Bihar from Tuesday to Friday. Light to widespread rainfall with lightning very likely over Northeast India during next 5 days.
