IMD Alert: Changes in the weather continue across the country. Amidst the departure of monsoon, rainy season continues in many states. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert of heavy rain in Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 24 hours.
There is also a possibility of storm and lightning during this period. There will be heavy rain in West Bengal and Sikkim on October 3, while there is a possibility of heavy rain in Maharashtra and Goa as well. Heavy rain activities will be seen in Tamil Nadu along with Andaman and Nicobar.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rain in North-Eastern India’s Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh. During this period, there is a possibility of strong wind and lightning at many places. There is a possibility of heavy rain in North Chhattisgarh and light to moderate to heavy rain at some places in Kerala, Mahe also.
Snowfall has also started in the hilly areas. Is. Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Light to moderate rain is expected in Northeast India, Sikkim, Odisha, Southern Chhattisgarh, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep, while light rain is expected in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Vidarbha and Tamil Nadu.

According to the report of private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather (Weather Update Today), today Southeast Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, parts of Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, South Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, South Light to moderate rain is likely over parts of Konkan, Goa, Andaman and Nicobar Islands with isolated heavy rain.
Light to moderate rain is expected over Northeast India, East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Odisha, South Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep. Light rain may occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Vidarbha and Tamil Nadu.

- There is a possibility of heavy rain in Jharkhand, Odisha on October 2 and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on October 3. There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Bihar on October 2 and 3. There will be heavy rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 4-5 October.
