SBI Customers Alert: If you are a customer of State Bank of India (SBI), then there is an important news for you. Actually, SBI has made an appeal to its customers.
According to the bank, the linking of PAN and Aadhaar is necessary to avoid any inconvenience or to enjoy uninterrupted banking services. The country’s largest public sector bank State Bank of India on Saturday warned its customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar to avoid any inconvenience in future.
SBI has informed its customers through a tweet, “We advise our customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar to avoid any inconvenience and enjoy uninterrupted banking service. The bank said that Customers should get their PAN and Aadhaar linked on time so that they can avoid any inconvenience.
Please note that it is mandatory to link PAN with Aadhaar. If PAN and Aadhar are not linked then PAN will become inactive and then there will be transaction problem. The last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar is 31 March 2022.
Know how to link PAN with Aadhaar-
- First of all go to www.incometaxgov.in.
- After this click on Our Service, there you will get the option of Link Aadhaar.
- After this go to Link Aadhaar Know About Aadhaar Pan Linking Status option.
- A new page will open. Enter your PAN and Aadhaar Card details there.
- Once you have given all the details, click on ‘View Link Aadhaar Status’.
- After this, you will see separately whether your PAN card is linked with Aadhar card or not.
To check whether the link is there or not through SMS, users can send an SMS to 567678 or 56161 by typing UIDPAN < 12 digit Aadhaar number> < 10 digit Permament Account Number>. If the linking is done it will show “Aadhaar…is already associated with PAN.
