18 Month DA Arrrers 2023: There is news of work for 1 crore central employees and pensioners (7th Pay Commission Central Government employees). With the new dearness allowance in 2023, there has been a discussion once again about the outstanding DA arrears of 18 months. The Modi government at the Center will present its budget on February 1, 2023, in such a situation it is expected that some decision can be taken on the arrears as well. Since DA for 18 months is calculated, it can reach from thousands of rupees to lakhs of rupees, which the employees have been demanding for a long time.
In fact, central employees have arrears of DA from July 2020 to January 2021, 2 years ago during the Corona period, dearness allowance / dearness relief of 48 lakh central employees and 64 lakh pensioners was banned. Several rounds of meetings have been held with the central government of the employees and pensioners’ organization regarding this, the employees’ organization has also suggested the government to do a negotiated settlement but till now no solution has been found.

Decision can be taken in the budget session
According to the news of Money Control, before the budget session, the employees-pensioners have once again started reaching their demands to the Finance Minister. The employees are hopeful that the government may take a final decision on the arrears during the budget session. Budget can be allocated for the outstanding arrears or it can also be announced to be given in installments. Although no new update has come from the government. If the payment is made then up to Rs 2.18 lakh can come in the account of the employees.
Arrear will be made up to 2 lakhs
Central employees have arrears of DA from July 2020 to January 2021.
The employees will get the money of DA arrears according to their salary band.
It is expected that Level-1 employees will get Rs.11,880 to Rs.37,554, Level-13 (7TH CPC Basic Pay-Scale Rs.1,23,100 to Rs.2,15,900) and Level-14 (Pay-Scale) from Rs.1,44,200. There is an arrear of Rs.2,18,200.
If the employee’s basic pay is Rs.18,000, he can get the outstanding DA arrears for 3 months (4,320+3,240+4,320) = Rs.11,880. If the employee’s basic pay is Rs.56,000, he can get (13,656 + 10,242 + 13,656 ) = DA arrears of Rs 37,554 will be available.
