Under this, a new provision has been added to it by amending Rule 8 of the CCS (Pension) Rules, 2021, which states that if the central employee is found guilty of any serious offense or negligence during his service, then his gratuity after retirement. And the pension will be stopped.

In fact, the Central Government has issued a stern warning to all the Central Government Employees across the country and ordered them to be alert and not to be negligent. The Central Government has said in a notification that if the Central employees are found guilty of any serious offense or negligence during their service, then their gratuity and pension will be stopped after retirement, i.e. if the employees do not follow it, then they will get pension and gratuity. The government will not provide the facility.

Under this, if any departmental or judicial action is taken against the employees during the job, then it will be necessary to inform the concerned officers. If the authority so desires, the pension or gratuity can be stopped permanently or even for some time. The same rules will be applicable to an employee who is re-employed after retirement. If an employee has taken the payment of pension and gratuity after his retirement, after which he is again found guilty, then full or part amount of pension or gratuity can be recovered from him. It will be assessed on the basis of the loss caused to the department.

These instructions have been issued under the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rule 2021 (Central Civil Services Pension Rules 2022). Under this, the chairman who is involved in the appointing authority of the retired employee will have the right to withhold gratuity or pension. If an employee has retired from the Audit and Accounts Department, then the CAG has the right to withhold pension and gratuity after the retirement of the defaulting employees. , they have also been given the right.
