The permission granted under AFCRA, 2010 for acceptance of permission for foreign hospitality under this order shall not be treated as equivalent to administrative approval.
Hospitality Permission: There is news of work for central government employees. The central government has implemented a new rule regarding foreign hospitality, under which government employees will now have to take permission online. It has been included in the online service of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act.
The order said, any member of legislature or office bearer of political party or judge or government official or employee of any firm/company owned by the government or controlled by the government, in any other country or at any place outside India During the visit, shall not accept any foreign hospitality without the prior permission of the Central Government.
Certain relaxations have also been made in these rules, under which foreign hospitality will be allowed in case of ‘medical emergency’ during the journey if the said person informs the Government in this regard within one month of receiving the service. Shall not be treated as administrative sanction

What is foreign hospitality
Foreign hospitality means an offer of money or goods/services by any foreign source to a person in any foreign territory for free travel, accommodation, transportation or treatment.
