The state government has made biometric verification mandatory for pensioners (old age, widow, specially abled) under social security pension, in such a situation it is necessary for the pensioners to get the annual physical verification of their pension done by 31st December. Those who have not got the verification done till now, they should get it done before January 1, 2023, otherwise the pension may get stuck or stopped. In fact, according to Rule 12 of the Rajasthan Social Security Old Age, Widow, Abandoned and Divorcee Pension Rules 2013, issued by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Rajasthan, physical verification of social security pensioners for the year 2023 under the Social Security Pension Scheme should be done by 31 December 2022. mandatory. Pensioners can get pension verification done by taking documents like Aadhaar card, Jan Aadhaar card etc. to the nearest E-Mitra center to get pension verification done. If any pensioner does not get the verification done by E Mitra, then the beneficiaries will not get the benefit of social security pension from this month.
Aadhaar link with mobile is not necessary
If there is a problem in getting the biometric verification done, the pensioners can also get the verification done on the basis of the necessary documents. The State Government has decided that the existence of the pensioner can be verified on the basis of the authentic document of the Social Justice Empowerment Department. This will give great relief to lakhs of pensioners. Even if there is no mobile link with Aadhaar, even then the amount of pension will be received.
Verification of lakhs of pensioners pending
Despite this, about 75566 pensioners have not yet got the verification done in Tonk district alone. Most of these verifications are pending in Malpura block. If these people do not get physical verification done by December 31, then they may have to be deprived of pension in 2023 or pension will not be sent to their account. There are a total of 2 lakh 16 thousand 449 pensioners in the district. In Dholpur, a total of one lakh 63 thousand pensioners are taking benefits of the scheme. Out of which annual physical verification of most of the pensioners is yet to be done.
Verification can also be done by these methods
- Pensioners can do fingerprint biometrics at E-Mitra Kiosk, Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra, E-Mitra Plus etc. centers for annual physical verification.
- Pensioners can get their annual verification done by taking their PPO, Aadhaar card or Jan Aadhaar card and appearing in the sub-divisional office in case of any difficulty in biometric verification by print.
- Physical verification of pensioners deprived of fingerprint biometrics can also be done through iris scan.
- If the pensioner appears personally in front of the Pension Sanctioning Officer (Development Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer), then the officer will make a physical appearance on the basis of the OTP received on the registered mobile of the pensioner after entering the PPO number of the concerned pensioner on the SSP portal through his own SSO ID. Verification can be done.
