There is a big update for thousands of pensioners (elderly, widows and disabled) of Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government has made Aadhaar authentication and e-KYC mandatory for all beneficiaries to take advantage of pension schemes, so those pensioners who have not yet completed this process should complete it as soon as possible, otherwise the pension will be stuck or The pension amount has been sent to the account of those whose process is being completed.
Due to lack of Aadhaar verification in Balrampur district, 3887 pensioners have not received pension till now. However, 6-6 thousand rupees have been sent to the bank account of the pensioners whose Aadhaar verification has been done. For Aadhaar verification, Aadhaar card, bank passbook and mobile number can be sent to departmental WhatsApp numbers (9918402523 and 9905215504). After Aadhaar verification, the pension amount will be sent to everyone’s account.
In fact, in the financial year 2022-23, the names of 35257 elders are registered for pension in 4 municipal bodies and 9 development blocks of the district. Pension is to be given to 33805 elderly people in development blocks and 1452 in municipal bodies, they will get pension amount only after Aadhaar verification. An amount of six thousand rupees has been sent to the bank accounts of 31370 elders who have done Aadhaar authentication. Remaining 3887 pensioners have been suggested to provide mobile number for contact with photo of Aadhaar card and bank passbook.
In the same Amethi district, the pension of 9362 elderly people has been stuck due to non-conduct of e-KYC. At the same time, the pension amount of two quarters has been sent to the account of 61,316 elderly people who have completed e-KYC. Aadhaar authentication has been made mandatory to take advantage of the pension scheme in the financial year. In such a situation, those who have not linked their bank account with Aadhar card and mobile number compulsorily, their pension has been stopped. Due to non-completion of e-KYC, pension is not being paid to them for two quarters.
Tell that under the National Social Assistance Program, old age pension of one thousand rupees per month is given by the Social Welfare Department to save the elderly from financial problems. Every year, after taking applications and verifying the existence of old beneficiaries, the pension amount of 3 months is issued simultaneously in the bank account in the months of June, September, December and March.
Apart from this, due to non-completion of KYC, 362 elders of Sultanpur Bhadaiya area have not been able to get pension from the month of August. Because of this, they are not getting pension from the month of August. As soon as the KYC is completed, the pension will be sent to the account of the old people. Tell that the state government gives a pension of one thousand rupees per month. This pension is sent to their account every third month by the Social Welfare Department.
