Income Tax Refund: If you are a taxpayer waiting for your refund, do note that the refund will be sent by the Income Tax Department only to verified bank accounts. So everyone needs to update and revalidate previously validated bank accounts, due to changes in bank account information.
To get income tax refund, first of all the bank account has to be pre-validated. Additionally, pre-validated bank account can be used by the particular taxpayer to enable EVC (Electronic Verification Code) for e-verification purposes.
Tax returns, other forms, e-proceedings, refund reissues, password reset and secure login to e-filing account can all be used for e-verification.
Kind Attention Taxpayers!
Your refund can only be credited into a validated bank account. So, please check bank account validation status on e-filing portal.
