Actually a new type of facility has been started on the Income Tax Portal. Through this you can directly check the status of your refund. Before the introduction of this facility, tax payers were able to check their refunds through the TIN-NSDL website. However, you can still check it from the website of TIN-NSDL. How to check refund status
If you have paid more tax than your actual tax liability, you can claim a tax refund from the Income Tax Department. For this, first of all one has to go to the e-filing portal. After this you have to click on the section of quick link. After this you have to scroll down until you see Know Your Refund Status. You have to click on it. After this you have to enter your PAN number, assessment year and mobile number. After this you will get an OTP. Your refund status will appear as soon as you enter the OTP.

If you have any problem with ITR bank detail, then it will appear on the screen that no record was found. Check your e-filing status by navigating to the option E-File -> Income Tax Return -> View Filed Return. As on 2 July 2023, around 1.32 crore ITRs have been filed for assessment year 2023-24. According to the Income Tax Portal, out of these, about 1.25 crore income tax returns have been verified so far. So far only 3,973 verified ITRs have been filed for assessment year 2023-24.
