Indian Railways Bullet Train: Indian Railways is going to launch bullet train service, which will reduce the travel time between Patna and New Delhi to just 3 hours. Currently, this journey takes more than 17 hours by regular train. This new bullet train will be an extension of the ongoing Delhi-Mumbai High-Speed Rail project. The route, covering a distance of more than 1,050 km, will connect major cities like Buxar, Patna and Gaya.
While the final decision on the exact route and station location is still underway, Patna is likely to have a dedicated station for the bullet train.

It will reduce the travel time between Patna and New Delhi considerably, benefiting passengers and allowing them to travel in comfort. Secondly, the high-speed service will boost trade and commerce. Currently, the train between Patna and Delhi takes around 17 hours. The Vande Bharat Express, which runs at a speed of 130 kmph, completes the journey in 9 hours. However, the new bullet train, which can run at a speed of 350 kmph, will reduce the travel time to just 3 hours.
