Indian Railway: Overcrowding in Indian trains is now going to be a thing of the past. Indians are going to start such special trains from next year, which will not only be cheap but also universally accessible.
Migrant Workers Special Train: Now laborers and people of low income group in the country will not have to face long waiting in trains to go from one place to another. Indian Railways is planning to run migrant workers special train for them. Such trains will have only sleeper and general coaches. These trains will run throughout the year and people will be able to travel from one place to another easily by booking them.
Railway study revealed
According to the report, the Indian Railway Board had recently conducted a study on Migrant Workers Special Train. In that study, it was found that the people of low income group coming to other states in connection with business have to face long waiting in trains. Special trains have been run for them during the festive season, but no arrangements have been made for them during the rest of the days. Due to this, the problem of overcrowding in existing trains is increasing.
Migrant workers special trains will run
To overcome this problem, Indian Railways has now decided to run Migrant Workers Special Train. These will be non-AC trains. These will have minimum 22 and maximum 26 coaches. These trains will be of LHB coaches and will have only sleeper and general coaches. That is, the benefit of AC will not be available in these trains. At present, the name of these trains has not been decided but an announcement can be made in the next few days. The operation of these trains can start from January 2023.
Identification of these big states
According to sources, those states are being identified, where there is more trend of migrant workers. Among them UP- Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Assam, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh are prominent. According to railway officials, these economical trains (Migrant Workers Special Train) will run seasonal rather permanent throughout the year. By booking tickets in these trains, people of low income group will be able to go to their destinations and the pressure of crowd will reduce in other trains as well.
