Indian Railways Night Journey Updated Rules : In today’s hectic life, people travel by train to save time.
If your journey is long then you have to spend the night in the train itself. Railways has now changed some rules keeping in view the problems of those traveling at night. Knowing which is very important for the travelers. If you do not know about the changed rule, then you may have to pay a fine.

According to the changed rule, if you are traveling during the night. And if your sleep is disturbed, it will be the responsibility of the railway administration.
Can’t talk in loud voice
If you are sleeping in the coach of the train and if someone is talking loudly next to you. If you are disturbed in sleeping, then you can complain to the railway staff. According to the new rule, the passenger can neither talk loudly on the mobile during the night nor will he be able to listen to songs in a loud voice. If anyone complains about this to the Railway Department, then action will be taken against him.
Railway staff will have to reach the spot and solve
After 10:00 pm if any passenger talks loudly on mobile or listens to song. Due to which the people sleeping in front have trouble, then people can complain about it to the railway staff. After this the management will have to reach the spot and solve it. If there is no solution, it will be the full responsibility of the staff. On behalf of the Railway Board, the General Managers of all the zones have been asked to implement the rules by issuing orders in this regard.

After 10 o’clock in the night, no passenger will be able to talk loudly on the mobile. Nor is listening to loud music allowed. In the night journey, all the lights have to be turned off except for the night light. Passengers walking in the group are not allowed to talk in loud voice. Action can be taken on receipt of complaint. Checking staff, RPF, electrician, catering staff and maintenance staff will work peacefully at night.
