IndiGo Business Class: The country’s number one airline IndiGo is about to complete 18 years in India. On this occasion, IndiGo has decided to start business class services IndiGo Stretch on 12 routes. These include cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Mumbai. IndiGo has also started trying to gain a foothold on the growing demand for premium class in the country. Booking of business class will start from August 6 and travel in it can be done from November 14. Its fare will start from Rs 18,018.
IndiGo is going to be 18 years old on August 7
Airline CEO Pieter Elbers said that IndiGo took its first flight in the country 18 years ago on August 7. On this occasion, we are also going to give the gift of business class to our passengers. Along with starting business class on 12 routes in the country, we are also going to start Bluechip Loyalty Program from September. Food in the premium business class will be provided by Oberoi Hotels. Peter Albers said that we will try our best to make our business class services excellent.
Announcement of discount up to 18% on tickets
With the launch of business class, IndiGo has started making serious efforts to remove the tag of being a budget airline. Apart from this, on the occasion of its 18th anniversary, IndiGo Airlines has also announced discount up to 18% on flight tickets for 4 days from August 5. Happy IndiGo Sale will continue till August 8. The airline said that customers will be able to avail the discount through the code HAPPY18.
Net profit decreased but revenue increased
IndiGo’s parent company Interglobe Aviation, while announcing the results of the April-June quarter of the current financial year, had said that its net profit had decreased by 12 percent on an annual basis to Rs 2,729 crore. However, revenue increased by 17 percent and reached Rs 19,571 crore. This figure was Rs 16,683 crore in the same period a year ago. IndiGo’s shares closed 2 percent down at Rs 4,225.25 on Monday.
