Indian Railways special trains run from major destinations across the country (like Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati-Ranchi, New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra , Jaipur-Bandra Terminus, Pune-Danapur, Durg-Patna, Barauni-Surat, etc.) is planning to connect the railway routes.
This is the preparation of Indian Railways for Holi
- According to the official statement by the Railway Ministry, 219 more railway services have been added for this festive season as compared to last year.
- Apart from this, crowd control measures are also being ensured at the terminus stations under the supervision of Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff for systematic entry of passengers in unreserved coaches.
- Additional RPF personnel will be deployed at the station for the safety of passengers. To ensure smooth running of trains, officers have been deployed on emergency duty at major stations.
- To ensure that there is no problem in train service, employees have been deployed in various sections. Measures have also been taken for consistent and timely announcement of arrival/departure of trains along with platform numbers, the ministry said in its statement.
