He said that the airport is likely to grow at a rate of 15 to 20 percent every year. In such a situation, in the next 5 years, the number of passengers flying from here can reach up to 30 million. Whereas in the next 5 years it can increase to 5 crores.
The airport will become Asia’s biggest transit hub
Noida International Airport is being developed as a transit hub like the airports of Japan, Australia and Singapore. It will allow passengers traveling between countries in the Asia-Pacific region to change flights. Zurich International Airport is in talks with Tata Group, Indigo, SpiceJet and other airlines for this.
He told that once the project is completed, there will be 5 runways here. Along with this, there will also be maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities. In this way its total capacity is expected to be 225 million passengers. This thing will make it the largest airport in Asia.
