After Mukesh Ambani launched Jio Phone on Friday, everyone is curious to know how to get the feature phone.

Soon after Mukesh Ambani launched Jio Phone, everyone is curious to know how to get the feature phone. Now, Jio has also updated its website with a page called ‘Keep Me Posted’. On the page, it is mentioned as, “Introducing India Ka Smartphone JioPhone”. It is the first step to register your interest.  A form will appear when you click on Keep Me Posted tab. The form says, “Register Interest, Share your details with us and we will get back to you.” The form asks you to fill your details like First name, last name, email and phone number. It is also mentioned on the page that, “We hate spam and promise to keep your data safe.” Moreover, it asks you to accept terms & conditions mentioned on the page. Once you fill all your details, it will say, “Thank you for registering interest”. After this, you will get an email from Jio. The email reads, “Greetings from Jio! Thank you for your interest. We have received your details and our team will contact you shortly. Thank You, Team Jio.”

About Jio phone


JioPhone will be available for user testing in beta form from August 15 and for pre-booking from August 24. JioPhone will be physically available to those who have pre-booked, on a first come first serve basis from September onwards. The company will make available 5 million phones every week and manufacture all JioPhones in India from last quarter of this year.

Buyers will be able to get the device for a one-time refundable security deposit of Rs.1,500. So, the effective price of the JioPhone will be of Rs.0. The deposit will be refunded after 36 months on the return of the JioPhone. Additionally, voice calling will be free for life for the users while unlimited data packs will cost Rs.153 a month on the device.

    It is a commendable achievement for Reliance Jio and appreciate them for bringing in a competitive edge in the telecom segment.
    Nevertheless it is important to ensure that the operations are going on with out loss of public money.
    I have been using a Jio Connection and have recently encountered an online Recharge issue after using the Jio Life app to recharge my connection. What is worse is that im not getting any solution from any Jio Service provider or Jio Center. I am sure there must be many more Jio users who are facing this issue.

    I can furnish more details provided some responsible authority from Jio communicates with me.

  806. How it is titled as free. A free means the should refund the money! But no it is actually refundable only because after 3 years they will refund you money ONLY when you return them mobile also but not otherwise.
    So clearly it is sold in Rs. 1500/ with refund guaranteed (Later phone functioning will appear as a matter. Naturally if phone is damaged / non functional they will not entertain you & who takes guaranty that this mobile will run flawless for 3 years).
    Advertising this phone as FREE is surely a case of miss advertising under Indian Marketing laws, I opine. I surprise why no RIT has entered as yet.! A feature phone in 1500/ not cheap by any definition specially when they don’t talk about battery power, life, camera power, quality, processor, flash etc. Remember- chip materials are never costly it is technology that matters.
    So all those booking it should keep in mind that it is not a phone to see videos, that’s why they ask you to connect is with TV Etc.
    However 153/month with all data free is perfect deal for us to call. status of running Whatsapp is also not clear as yet. During demonstration they only demonstrated the basic features like calling, messaging etc.
