Jio lost user base
According to the latest report by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio has lost 19 million subscribers in the month of September. This is a sharp drop in Jio’s customer base and is surprising to say the least.
Airtel has benefited from Jio’s loss as it added 0.27 million (2.7 lakh) new customers in the month of September. These numbers are the largest numbers ever. The reason for this is that during Corona, crores of users did not make recharge plans, due to which the number has increased so much.
