JioPhone2 – The new and improved feature phone from Reliance Jio
After the success of Jio 1500, Reliance Jio Infocomm has launched its brand new phone with the QWERTY keyboard. The Jiophone2 specifically targets those consumers who want low cost good quality mobile handsets. Let us have a closer look at the specifications and other details about this phone.
Key specifications:
This phone was launched on July 2018. The display screen size is 2.40 inches. It is a QVGA display. The resolution of this phone is 240 pixels by 320 pixels. The RAM is of 512 MB. Internal storage of the phone is 4 GB. This can be expanded upto 128 GB with the help of an SD card. This phone has two cameras. The primary camera is on the rear and it is of 2 Megapixel. In the front there is a 0.3 megapixel camera. This is for taking selfies. The operating system is KAI OS. The battery capacity is 2000 mAh. It must be noted that this is not a touch-screen phone. The connectivity options are by VoLTE, VOwifi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth and FM radio. This is a dual sim phone. It has two slots for nano SIM. This phone has QWERTY keypad. It also has a four way navigation key. This phone also has an exclusive button for voice command.
Pricing of Jiophone 2:
This phone will be available in the Indian markets from 15 th August 2018. The introductory price of this phone is Rs 2999/- A monsoon hungama offer has been announced by Mr Mukesh Ambani. According to this offer consumers can exchange their current feature phone with the brand new Jiophone 2 at a price of just Rs 501. They can avail to this offer from 21st July.
How different is this phone from the older version?
This phone has several improvements as compared to the older phone. This is a 4G phone. The specifications and the design is much better than the older model. This new phone has a Blackberry type of design. It has a horizontal rectangular shape. Both the old and new models will be available in the market and the consumer can select one as per their needs.

Earlier Google had introduced Google Assistant on Jio Phone. Now they are also going to give their support for Youtube. Jio got the Facebook app in February. Now FB is also going to give support for Whatsapp. During the launch Jio announced that the new phone has Youtube as well as Whatsapp.
Reliance Infocomm has always said that they want to accelerate digital revolution in India. They want to do this by making the Jio Phones as affordable as possible. They are fulfilling this commitment in the latest Jio Phone 2. This phone has some really good features which will let the common man enjoy digital life. The phone seems to be really good.
