New Delhi, Business Desk. Aadhaar card has become the most important and necessary document for any person. Many government and private functions require an Aadhaar card. It can always be kept as an introduction letter. It is also important to keep Aadhaar card updated with the cardholder’s active mobile number. The cardholder has to register his mobile number with UIDAI to get Aadhaar online services.
By the way, at the time of enrollment for Aadhaar Card, the mobile number should be registered with UIDAI. But if the mobile number is not registered or the new mobile number has to be registered with the Aadhaar card, then the card holders can do this by going to the permanent enrollment center. There is no need to submit any documents to register or update the mobile number with Aadhaar. Let us know what its process is.
Step 1. First of all, go to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website https://www.uidai.gov.in/ and go to ‘My Aadhaar’ tab and click on ‘Locate and Enrollment Center’.
Step 2. Now a page will open from where card holders can get the address of their nearest enrollment center by entering the state, PIN code or their address.
Step 3. After this the cardholder has to go to his nearest enrollment center and fill the Aadhaar correction form.
Step 4. In this Aadhaar correction form, the cardholder has to enter his mobile number. This should be the active mobile number that the cardholder wants to update with Aadhaar.
Step 5. Now the cardholder will have to submit this Aadhaar correction form and provide his biometrics for authentication.
Step 6. After this a slip will be given to the cardholder. An update request number (URN) will be entered in this slip.
Step 7. Cardholders can track the status of Aadhaar updation from this update request number.
