LPG Gas Cylinder Price Update: On the occasion of Rakshabandhan and Onam festival, the central government has cut the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 400. Common people will get 200 rupees cheaper cylinder.
LPG Gas Cylinder Price Update: The Central Government has cut the price of LPG LPG cylinder (14.2 kg) by Rs 400 from today i.e. Wednesday, 30 August 2023. Common people will get LPG cylinder 200 rupees cheaper. At the same time, the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will get Rs 400 cheaper gas cylinder.
Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, 9.6 crore beneficiaries will get Rs.400 cheaper cooking gas cylinder. 75 lakh more will be added under this scheme. A total of 33 crore LPG cylinder consumers will be benefited by this exemption of the central government.
How much is the cost of gas cylinder now?
After this announcement of the central government, now the price of LPG cylinder has come down from Rs. 1103 to Rs. 903 in New Delhi. Rs 908 in Bhopal, Rs 906 in Jaipur. From Rs 1129 to Rs 929 in Kolkata, its price has come down from Rs 1102.50 to Rs 902.50 per cylinder in Mumbai. Similarly, the new price of LPG cylinder in Chennai has come down from Rs 1118.50 to Rs 918.50.
7,680 crore burden will increase
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that PM Narendra Modi has given a big gift to the sisters by reducing the prices on the festival of Onam and Raksha Bandhan. With this decision, the burden on the government will increase by Rs 7,680 crore in the financial year 2023-24.

LPG cylinder prices were increased in March
The price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 50 in March 2023. After this the price had increased to 1103 in Delhi. Whereas earlier on July 6, 2022, the prices were increased by Rs 50.
Here gas cylinder for 500 rupees
Assembly elections are going to be held in five states this year, in which more focus is going to be on Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. In view of this, the Congress in Madhya Pradesh has promised to provide LPG cooking gas cylinders for Rs.500. On the other hand, in Rajasthan, a scheme of Rs 500 gas cylinder has been implemented.
