But it is very difficult to detect it, due to which there is no complaint about it. But now you are going to get rid of this problem. Actually now preparations are being made to put QR code on LPG gas cylinder.

QR code will come in handy

Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri launched this new and special feature on Wednesday i.e. yesterday during LPG Week 2022. In this regard, in a tweet, he said that the way to trace the fuel. This is a tremendous innovation. It will be pasted in the gas cylinders already in use, while they will be welded in new cylinders. When activated, it will help solve many problems related to inventory management of cylinders along with gas pilferage, tracking and tracing.

Along with this, the QR code on the cylinders will prove useful in curbing gas theft as well as solving issues related to gas leaking and safety. This special QR code will be fitted in domestic LPG cylinders during the next three months. Apart from this, the QR code will also keep the details of how many times the cylinder has been refuelled, where it has been done, how the safety test has been, etc. This will also make customer service easier.

Will work like Aadhaar card

Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the government will equip all LPG gas cylinders with QR Code. This will make tracking of cylinders easier and gas thieves will be caught. This QR code on the cylinder will work in the same way as the Aadhaar card works.
