LPG Price Hike: Oil marketing companies have made it expensive by increasing the prices of commercial gas cylinders for the second consecutive month. Commercial LPG Cylinder Price in Delhi has been increased by Rs 25.50.

The month of March (March 2024) has started and on the first day of the month i.e. 1st March, the price of LPG gas cylinder has been increased once again (LPG Cylinder Price Hike). That means the cylinder has become expensive from March 1, 2024. However, oil marketing companies have once again increased the prices of commercial gas cylinders (Commercial LPG Cylinders Price Hike). In Delhi it has become costlier by Rs 25, while in Mumbai it has become costlier by Rs 26. Let us know the new rates…

New rates for 19 kg cylinders:

Oil marketing companies have given a shock to inflation by increasing the prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders for the second consecutive month. After increasing it by Rs 14 last month on the budget day i.e. 1 February 2024, now the price of cylinder has been increased once by Rs 25. The changed rates have been released on the website of IOCL, which are applicable from today i.e. March 1, 2024.

According to the new rate, a commercial cylinder (Delhi LPG Cylinder Price) will be available in the capital Delhi for Rs 1795, whereas in Kolkata this cylinder has now become Rs 1911. The rate of commercial cylinder in Mumbai has increased to Rs 1749, while in Chennai it has increased to Rs 1960.50.

The price of the cylinder was this much in February. 

Under the earlier changes, the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Delhi (Delhi LPG Cylinder Price) was increased from Rs 1755.50 to Rs 1769.50. Talking about other metros, the price of one cylinder in Kolkata (Kolkata LPG Cylinder Price) was increased from Rs 1869.00 to Rs 1887. The commercial cylinder which was earlier available for Rs 1708 in Mumbai, was now available for Rs 1723. Whereas in Chennai its price had increased from Rs 1924.50 to Rs 1937.

When was there relief in cylinder prices?

While on one hand the prices of commercial gas cylinders have been increasing for two consecutive months, on the other hand, there was some relief in the beginning of the year 2024 i.e. on the first of January. On January 1, 2024, the companies had given a slight relief in the price of 19 kg cylinder. Oil marketing companies had reduced the prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders. After which the first commercial gas cylinder from Delhi to Mumbai became cheaper by Rs 1.50 to Rs 4.50. After the reduction made last month, the price of 19 kg cylinder was reduced to Rs 1755.50 in Delhi and Rs 1708 in Mumbai.

Domestic gas cylinder prices remain stable. No

change in domestic gas cylinder prices. While the price of commercial gas cylinders has been increased, the prices of domestic gas cylinders remain stable. The price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder is available at Rs 903 in Delhi, Rs 929 in Kolkata, Rs 902.50 in Mumbai and Rs 918.50 in Chennai. Domestic gas cylinder prices (Domestic LPG Price) have remained stable for a long time.
