State government will give additional subsidy
The customers of the whole country will get the benefit of the subsidy announced by the central government. On the other hand, the people of Goa are now going to get double benefit. After the Central Government, the State Government of Goa has also announced to give additional subsidy on LPG cylinders. Due to this, the people of Goa are now going to get LPG cylinders at a very low price.
Such customers will get double subsidy
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Union Minister Shripad Y Naik launched The Chief Minister’s Financial Assistance for Refilling of LPG Cylinders Scheme in Panaji a day ago. Under this, eligible people will get a subsidy of Rs 275 every month on filling the cylinder from the state government. The benefit of this subsidy will be available to those customers who have ration card of Antyodaya Anna Yojana.
The people of Goa will get this much discount
The Chief Minister of Goa made it clear that this subsidy is on top of the Central Government’s subsidy. This means that people who are getting the benefit of subsidy from Goa Government will also get the benefit of subsidy announced by the Central Government. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi had announced a subsidy of Rs 200 on LPG cylinder. This means that the ration card holders of Goa’s Antyodaya Anna Yojana will now get the benefit of subsidy of Rs 475 on LPG cylinder.
PM Modi gave Rakshabandhan gift
Let us tell you that while announcing the subsidy of Rs 200 on domestic LPG cylinder, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called it a Rakshabandhan gift. This is the biggest one-time discount on domestic LPG cylinder rates ever. Before that, only the beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojana were getting subsidy of Rs 200-200. After the new announcement of subsidy, the beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojana will get the benefit of discount of Rs 400-400.
Prices of commercial cylinders also reduced
After announcing subsidy on domestic LPG cylinders, the price of commercial LPG cylinders has also been reduced. Government oil and gas marketing companies announced a reduction of Rs 158 in the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder on the first day of the month. After that, now the price of commercial LPG cylinder has come down to Rs 1,522.50.
