What has CrowdStrike said about the glitch?

Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike said the company has identified the glitch and is working to fix it.

Let us tell you that CrowdStrike provides virus software for the devices of companies like Microsoft. CrowdStrike’s job is to protect software companies from hackers, cyber attacks, ransomware and data leaks. However, the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) problem will remain for some time.

What is Blue Screen of Death?

First understand what Blue Screen of Death is. Actually, when a hardware or software problem occurs in a device or when the device is forcibly shut down and restarted for some reason, a message often appears on laptops and PCs.

It is written on this message that Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to the device. The problem of Blue Screen of Death can also occur due to the hard drive, graphics card or power supply unit installed in the computer. At present, people all over the world are facing the ‘Blue Screen of Death’.

The biggest question is that when will the users get relief from this problem. Now, Dainik Jagran talked to senior IT expert Sameer Sharma on many aspects related to server down regarding what people need to keep in mind in future.

It will take some days to solve the problem

The IT expert said, “The job of Crowdstrike is to provide security to Microsoft’s Windows operating system. The same antivirus increased Microsoft’s problems. It is like a patient taking medicine to recover from a disease, but the medicine reacts in the patient’s body. The antivirus itself worked like a virus.”

‘Problem will have to be fixed manually’

The expert says that Crowdstrike cannot fix this glitch through remote access. This problem will have to be solved manually. This process can take several days.

Let us tell you that on Thursday night, Crowdstrike software released an update, which suddenly caused a glitch in Windows computers. All the computers on which this update was applied started crashing.

Expert gave this special advice to people

Sameer Sharma further informed that the worst effect of server down is on common users, people associated with travel, banking, communication work. He advised that in future if the server goes down then people should always keep hard copies of their important documents with them so that their work does not stop.

He further advised that people should keep cash while travelling. Carry cash to the airport. There should be a plan B. Your documents should be online.

What did Microsoft say?

Regarding the server down, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said, “CrowdStrike released an update, which started affecting IT systems worldwide.”

He further said that we are well aware of this problem at the global level and are providing technical support to CrowdStrike to bring the customers’ systems back online safely.
