Mumbai local Train News: Western Railway has given relief news to the passengers. Keeping in view the increasing demand of passengers, Western Railway has decided to increase the number of AC local train services on Mumbai suburban section with effect from 20th June, 2022. With the introduction of 8 new AC services, the number of AC services on Western Railway will now increase from 32 to 40 local AC trains.
According to the information received, a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway was informed that on May 5, 2022, the fares of AC local travel tickets were reduced, along with the number of passengers traveling by AC local. There has also been a substantial increase in numbers. In order to control the number of passengers and keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the Railways has taken this decision.

Now 8 new AC local trains have started
For information, let us tell you that Western Railway has started 12 more AC local services from May 16, 2022. According to the information received, in view of the demand and popularity of AC local, Western Railway has started 8 more AC local services from June 20, 2022 for the convenience of the passengers. These 8 AC local train services will be available from Monday to Friday only. 32 AC services will be available on Saturdays and Sundays in a week and remaining 8 services will operate with Non AC rakes.
Know the route of 8 new AC local trains
Public Relations Officer Sumit Thakur further said that, out of the additional 8 services being launched, 4 services will be provided in each up and down directions. One service each will be provided between Virar-Churchgate, Virar-Dadar, Vasai-Churchgate and Malad-Churchgate in the up direction. In the down direction, one service each is to be provided between Dadar-Virar, Churchgate-Virar, Churchgate-Vasai and Churchgate-Malad. Those traveling by local trains will now get convenience. The congestion in trains will also reduce.
