National Pension Scheme: National Pension Scheme service fee has been increased. For this, now the registration charge will have to be paid Rs 400 instead of Rs 200.
National Pension Scheme: Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has increased the service charge of National Pension System (NPS). According to a PFRDA circular, the service charges linked to NPS at POP outlets were increased from February 1, 2022.
Revised NPS Service Charges
The registration fee for the initial customer has now been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 400. The initial and subsequent transaction fees are up to 0.50 percent of the contribution. Minimum Rs 30 and maximum Rs 25,000 has been fixed.
For subsequent contribution through NPS, the service charge has been increased to 0.20 per cent of the contribution.
The service charge for the exit and withdrawal process is 0.125 per cent of the corpus.
NPS is regulated under the PFRDA Act, 2013 and rules framed by the Department of Financial Services and PFRDA under it.
The CCS (Implementation of NPS) Rules, 2021 have been notified by the DoPPW on March 31, 2021 to regulate service related matters for the Central Government employees covered under NPS.
