Netflix Stops Password Sharing in India: Now Netflix has announced for Indian viewers that the password sharing feature is being discontinued in India. It has started from today i.e. 20th July. Earlier, Netflix has taken such a decision in many countries including America.

Netflix Ends Password Sharing Feature: Netflix had implemented the password sharing feature some time ago, in which password sharing was prohibited. However, now Netflix has announced for Indian viewers that the password sharing feature is being discontinued in India. It has started from today i.e. 20th July. Earlier, Netflix has taken such a decision in many countries including America.

What is condition?

If your account is being shared with many people, then you will have to verify through a code every seven days. The code will be sent to you via email. If you don’t enter the code correctly, you won’t be able to use Netflix. Also, if your account is being used in more than one country, you will need to connect to the primary account’s Wi-Fi network every 31 days. If you do not do this, your account will be closed.

Netflix wants one of its accounts to be used by many people in the same household, not even friends and relatives. Its verification will be done by the company through IP address, device ID, network etc. For example, if you have a Netflix account and share it with your friends and relatives, Netflix may delete your account. Netflix may also send you a code and ask you to log in to your account. If you don’t enter the code correctly, you won’t be able to use Netflix.

Netflix has decided to ban password sharing. This decision may anger some people in India, but it is also possible that this will increase the subscribers of the company. Netflix has more than 50 million subscribers in India. Some of them share passwords with their friends and family. Netflix believes that if it bans password sharing, it will get new subscribers. Netflix has three plans in India. The cheapest plan is Rs 149 per month. The most expensive plan is Rs 649 per month.
